tumbleweeds...

ooh I've been quiet this week, I hd to go to the emergency dentist in the end and had was told I have an abcess :( so I've been on antibiotics and painkillers as well as getting ready for a hen night I'm going to tonight.
I did have some amazing news last week that I can share with everyone soon and I have been crafting just not as much. Next week I'll be prolific lol

moody

I've been a bit quiet this week because my face hurts :( I started off with what I thought was tonsilitis that became sinusitis and to ice the cake I have a broken tooth and horrendous toothache. I'm normally quite passive but there is something about your ear and mouth hurting that makes you angry with everything. So not been in the mood to play. but yesterday I put together a card in a haze of co-codomol and ibruprofen and it's a bit silly.

The image is from Bugaboo stamps and the papers were free Raspberry Road ones from a magazine, not wanting to waste any paper I had trimmed, I decorated the inside of the card which looks quite funky.

sooo girly

I had another play with this cool Mo Manning image and as last time I had made it quite subdued with orange and grey tones, I went pink and purple crazy and it looks fab. Although I think it's jinxed because last time James drenched the card in water, and this time someone splashed the ribbon with something last week and stained it :( I didn't really notice until I took the picture and it's really apparent, so when it goes to a new home it will have a buckle or bow there to cover it up.
I made a ruffle under the fuschia ribbon to match the skirt in the image and used My Mind's Eye papers.

New Baby

I've made this card for commission after the craft table I had on Friday. I thought I would take Father's day cards, Thank yous and generic birthday and I got mostly New baby requests. I'm guessing there's something in the water. Any hoo I was asked to make a new Baby card for a baby girl and I hope this is perfect. I've used an old Forever Friends sticker and paper pack I have had since the dawn of time and an embossed pram I did when I first got my cuttlebug and never used (I don't seem to throw anything away)
My main annoyance with this card is I have run out of pink card stock so had to use about three different shades using up off cuts. It's not my usual taste but I didn't make it for me (I tend to do that and I have eclectic taste at the best of times lol)

Summer fair card stall

I had a table at our nursery's summer fair and managed to sell a few cards. It wasn't too busy because of the weather but it's always fun and managed to get a few commissions. This is one card I took to sell and remembered to photograph, (another one I made and loved sold before I took a pic)
I used a mixture of bright papers and made it bright, ideal for a teenage girl.

Desmet Designs Challenge - Male card

I have made this card using one of the Digi stamps from Bugaboo Stamps I won for the Papertake challenge last week at it was absolutely perfect for this months challenge at Desmet Designs, make a male themed card. This little boy reminds me of my Jim with the messy hair, although he isn't fussed about listening to the ipod, more just playing Angry Birds.
As well as the Bugaboo image I have used these fab double sided papers from the Hideaway paper pad (available here at Desmet Designs Shop) and the sentiment is a circular one from Polkadoodles that I have cut down to give it quite an original frame around it.

Can't wait to see all the entries this month as they were awesome for last months Red, White and Blue challenge, and the DT has some fab inspiration as always. Challenge can be found Here!
